JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Director of Patient Care Services (ADPCS) at Porter Medical Center, a Critical Access Hospital, is responsible for assisting the Director of Patient Care Services in overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring regulatory compliance. This role involves providing leadership and guidance to nursing staff, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required, master’s degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Valid nursing license in the state of Vermont.
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of the Critical Access Hospital environment, regulations, and healthcare industry best practices.
• Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies and the ability to apply them effectively.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex situations, multitask, and prioritize effectively.
• Proficiency in using healthcare information systems and technology.
