POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the Administrative Director of Primary Care, this position provides a wide range of administrative support to Medical Group Practices (MGP) Administrative Directors and Managers. In addition, is responsible for staffing, development, direction and supervision of assigned staff. Conducts annual performance evaluations of assigned personnel. Provides counseling and discipline as necessary. Duties include coordinating float staff schedules, monitoring staff competencies, managing the associated competency system, processing reimbursements, reporting and timekeeping. Interpersonal and communications skills are essential for interaction with all levels of staff within MGP as well as outside customers, while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and promoting customer service. Position requires ability to collaborate with staff of all levels within MGP and assist in facilitating duties within the MGP administration team.
EDUCATION:
A. Minimum of Associates Degree, Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
B. Proficient with a variety of computer programs (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, and publishing software) and any other programs necessary to carry out the duties of the position.
C. Experience with EPIC EMR a plus.
D. Good communication skills on all levels, orally and written. Ability to interact with all levels of staff as well as outside clients and customers is essential.
E. Must be customer service oriented.
F. Proven ability to manage, prioritize tasks and work efficiently and quickly.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three years of administrative healthcare experience and the proven ability to be proficient in all areas of assigned duties.
