Job Summary
The Prospect Research Analyst will lead and set a strategic direction for prospect identification, qualification, and research aimed at reaching annual and long-term fundraising goals. The prospect research analyst must demonstrate sound project management skills as well as a high level of professionalism, working both independently and in a team environment to ensure success, while collaborating with senior advancement leaders to develop a high-quality moves management process for all front-line fundraisers.
The prospect research analyst provides leadership and sets strategic direction for prospect identification, qualification, and research to support UT Tyler’s fundraising priorities. As a critical member of the advancement team, the prospect research analyst will be expected to collaborate with all members of University Advancement, as well as key administrative units across the institution.
The prospect research analyst will build a collaborative and centralized prospect management system, while simultaneously providing research, analyses, and robust prospect profiles in support of reaching UT Tyler’s fundraising goals. This includes assisting with the identification of prospective members of the Development Board, President’s/Deans' Advisory Councils, and other formal volunteer committees. This position is critical to overall advancement success through the building of a sustainable and broad-based major, leadership, and principal gift program, as well as corporate and foundation relations pipeline. This includes proactively identifying prospects, developing relationship-based prospect research, coding, and reporting.

A remote work schedule may be available for this position in accordance with UT Tyler HOP 4.1.16 Remote Work Arrangements. A UT Tyler Remote Work Agreement is required upon employment. Use of personal computer and other standard office equipment may be required. Individuals that work remotely may be required to work on campus on an infrequent basis.

The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
