Salary Range: $31,200- $48,649 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential FunctionsJob SummaryProvide fiscal coordination account support and leadership for a department or program.
Core Responsibilities- Responsible for performing and overseeing fiscal, grant, and accounting-related matters for multiple funding sources.
- Oversees and performs the preparation, processing, and checking of various electronic accounting documents.
- Analyzes data for accuracy and initiates corrective action when necessary.
- Maintains detailed reports and records of accounting data including preparing and tracking budgets and preparing billings, financial reports, and related correspondence.
- Assists in the development and preparation of the annual budget for the department.
- Assists faculty and staff with financial administrative matters.
- Provides analysis and interpretation of financial reports and data; provides recommendations for fiscal expenditures and management.
- Assists in the development and implementation of fiscal policies and procedures for the department.
- Provides direction and training to staff regarding fiscal management, policies, and procedures.
- Assists in the coordination and administration of special projects.
- Attends meetings and serves on committees.
- Takes a proactive approach to assist co-workers in various tasks, to ensure safety.
- Performs work tasks in a safe manner and in accordance with work instructions.
- Proactively makes recommendations to improve safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Three (3) years of progressively responsible accounting and/or fiscal administration experience.
- Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communications skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function as a member of a team in a high-stress, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Working ConditionsWorking Environment:
- Office environment.

Physical Demands:
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will require working both
remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
