Great Northwest Animal Hospital is a privately owned 5 doctor practice in San Antonio, TX looking to add two full-time doctors to meet the needs of our rapidly growing community. Our passion lies in providing the best quality healthcare for our patients through superior education, teamwork and a modern medical facility. Our hospital has been serving the San Antonio area for over 40 years.Current practice owners, Dr. Travis Wright and Dr. Michele Wright, took ownership of Great Northwest Animal Hospital in 2016. In just 5 short years, they had taken the practice from its humble beginnings of a 1.5 doctor practice with 20 online reviews to a seven doctor practice with almost 1500 reviews!During that time, the facility has been fully modernized on the inside to provide a brightly lit, colorful and immaculately clean work environment. We offer the best medicine for every case without the need to cut corners. Many have compared our services to being on par with a specialty hospital. Fee schedules are designed to allow doctors to be doctors, not sales people. Our doctors are treated as individuals and respected for having their own individual style of practicing medicine. We never compare doctors or establish sales quotas and we strive to offer a flexible work-life balance. We have a simple philosophy that if folks just practice good medicine, everything else will take care of itself.We also don’t believe volume is the answer to anything. Our appointments start at a comfortable 30 minutes and go up from there based on the number of pets the client brings. We set limits on the number of drop off pets each day so doctors are not overburdened. For our younger practitioners who are new to the career, we focus on providing extensive mentorship and training to ease the transition into clinical practice.Our technical staff receives extensive training before they are allowed to work by themselves on the clinic floor. Each technician spends 8 weeks training one on one with a dedicated instructor and one of our owners. Doctors are provided one dedicated technician whom they will work with every day in an effort to provide the best continuity. A second technical assistant will also be assigned on a rotating basis. In addition to our onboarding program, team members receive ongoing training seminars that focus on topics such as anesthesia, emergencies, preventative care and many of the common disease conditions we encounter on a daily basis.With that said, we are looking for a fun, energetic, outgoing practitioner to join our team. We invite folks to apply with any level of practice experience. We are extremely versed in mentoring new graduates into the profession and know how to throttle the workload through the transition period from student to doctor. For more experienced applicants, you can rest assured that you will have a full schedule available upon arrival.Benefits of Employment:We offer competitive compensation with base starting at $110,000 and up plus production with no negative accrual. Annual take home can exceed $200,000 with 4 day work week.Very comfortable shifts. Usually a split between 8am to 4pm and 9am to 6pm with a two hour appointment break from 12pm to 2pm.Love spending hours on medical records? Neither do we! Doctors have the option to utilize the latest in AI dictation/summarization software.Stressed about certain cases, or maybe oncology just isn't your thing...Don't worry, we have full access to virtual and/or on-site specialists who can help design a roadmap for the case and establish treatments/follow-ups.Paid time off starting at 3 weeks. Time off is credited into production calculations, so you will not experience production drops when you take paid time off.Health insurance is available with doctor reimbursement up to 100%.401K retirement savings plan with 4% annual compensation match.
