Job Posting Title: Social Science/Humanities Research Associate V - Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health ---- Hiring Department: Office of the Associate Dean for Research ---- Position Open To: All Applicants ---- Weekly Scheduled Hours: 40 ---- FLSA Status: Exempt ---- Earliest Start Date: Jun 01, 2024 ---- Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Aug 31, 2025 ---- Location: UT MAIN CAMPUS ---- Job Details: General Notes This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Some limited travel required. Purpose Plan and implement research activities at the Texas Institute for Excellence in Mental Health (TIEMH) for communities in the Healthy Community Collaborative. Collect, structure, and disseminate results in reports, presentations, and manuscripts. Position requires close collaboration with the TIEMH team, funding agency, and communities. Responsibilities Collect, examine, and analyze data gathered from mental health providers, homeless service organizations, and state agencies using statistical analysis software. Prepare regular reports for state agencies and communities and submit them to peer-reviewed journals. Assist in the implementation processes of the project, focusing on data gathering and ensuring data quality and working alongside community sites, project collaborators, and funders. Provide data collection consultation and support specific to contractual and site-specific outcomes. Participate in team meetings and discussions, funder meetings, and meetings with community sites. Required Qualifications Master's Degree in social work, public health, psychology, social sciences, or related field with at least 6 years of related experience such as multi-site health services evaluation planning, implementation, data management, analysis, and reporting OR Bachelor's Degree with at least 8 years of related experience. Proficiency in statistical analysis software. Experience with online survey administrators (e.g., Qualtrics or RedCap) and conducting interviews. Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral Degree with at least 4 years of related experience such as conducting research within the public mental health, homelessness, or social services sectors. Experience utilizing statistical software for example, Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) for data analysis, managing datasets, employing web-based applications for example, Infogram, Canva, PowerBI for research purposes, and proficiency in writing research reports and manuscripts and sharing findings in presentations.
