Laboratory Research Technician I
The Department of Immunology is seeking a qualified candidate for a Laboratory Research Technician I in the Gottschalk laboratory. The Gottschalk lab investigates macrophage signaling and function to understand regulation of inflammation. This full-time position will involve work with mice and primary human cells, and lab techniques including cell culture, qPCR analysis, high content imaging, and flow cytometry. The incumbent will be expected to manage supplies and contribute to collaborative projects. Performs laboratory testing and some analysis on multiple types of specimen samples. Operates and properly sterilizes equipment and maintains inventory and assists with ordering.
Job Tasks:
1. Perform laboratory procedures and tests, including cell culture, qPCR analysis, high content imaging, and flow cytometry using mouse and human immune cells.
2. Analyze and visualize data.
3. Handle and manipulate rodents.
4. Coordinate with a moderate-sized research lab.
