Audio Visual Technician
The Audio/Visual Technician provides technology support to the Pitt-Greensburg campus (students, faculty, staff, and visitors), primarily through the Pitt-Greensburg technology help desk. Responsibilities include classroom AV support, student activity AV support, evening and weekend event AV support and conferencing center AV support.
Maintains, installs, and provides technical support for video, audio, and control systems across University campuses. Retains records and assists with inventory. Actively seeks innovative technologies and methodologies to enhance the AV experience. Sets up and effectively operates video recording, audio, photo, and lighting equipment; edits and organizes footage. Facilitates AV orientation sessions for new users.
Must have the ability to travel independently around the Greensburg Campus. The employee must be able to communicate effectively through written and oral communications and to think quickly and adapt to rapidly changing technology applications. Must be able to operate basic office equipment (computer, telephone, copier). Must be very organized and have excellent time management skills.
Must be capable of lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds, speaking and hearing on the telephone, able to climb a ladder 20-25 feet, frequent walking on campus to provide set up for meetings and/or events is required.
