Temporary Vacancy Announcement
UM Housing invites applications for Summer Facilities Assistants to perform beginning to intermediate routine custodial duties, including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, trash removal, and sanitizing. You will perform general maintenance, including, but not limited to, changing light bulbs and filters; and supplying paper products and soap.
This assignment will last no more than three (3) months.
Required Skills
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain a safe work environment
- Read instructions, safety information, policies and procedures; and write
- Demonstrated skill in customer service orientation
- Interpersonal, listening and oral communication
- Organization and time-management
Minimum Required Experience
- Knowledge and skill equivalent to a high school education
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess less than twelve (12) months related experience and must be able to perform simple cleaning tasks

Position Details
Position Title: Temporary Summer Facilities Assistant

Department: UM Housing
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week),
Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, 3 months
Salary: $16.41/hr
