Staff Vacancy Announcement

Marketing Communications, Experience and Engagement invites applications for a Marketing Coordinator to play a crucial role in the success of the Marketing Operations team at the University of Montana. You'll provide vital support to the Vice President of Marketing Communications, Experience and Engagement (VPMCEE), and collaborate with teams in Communications, Digital Strategy, Creative Services, Trademark and Licensing and Brand Management. This role requires you to take initiative, pay close attention to details, and deliver excellent service to our diverse stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and manage travel documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Facilitate paperwork for purchases and contracted services, including those requiring competitive bidding.
  • Assist with payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Assist with hiring processes and coordinate new employee onboarding.
  • Manage the VPMCEE’s schedule in close collaboration.
  • Support directors across the department.
  • Organize logistics for university-wide events and meetings.
  • Develop and distribute communications from the office, including emails, letters, and memos.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Manage office supplies and handle inventory and purchasing tasks.
  • Prepare and analyze complex reports as needed.
  • Assist with marketing communications activities such as photo/video shoots, website content creation and management, market research and

Minimum Required Experience

  • High School diploma and four (4) years or relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field, and two (2) years of relevant professional experience in a support role; or any combination of experience and education

Position Details

Position Title: Marketing Coordinator (Admin Associate IV)

Department: Marketing Communications, Experience, and Engagement
Work Schedule: Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 Hours a week),
Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 12 months/year
Salary: $18.99/hr
Union Affiliation: FOCUS-MFPE
Probationary Period: Six months minimum
Benefits Include: Insurance package, mandatory retirement plan,
