Position Summary
Fisher Kindergarten Summer Camp Lead counselor will supervise children (4-6 years old) who have just graduated from FELC PreK classrooms. The job responsibilities include ensuring children’s safety and well-being, supporting development and growth, planning and executing camp activities, as well as maintaining rapport with caregivers.
Fisher Early Learning Center’s Kindergarten Camp is designed for kids ages 4-6 who have graduated from Fisher Early Learning Center and will enter kindergarten in the fall of 2024. Camp is a great way for children to experience their transition out of Fisher and into kindergarten. Camp provides them with a fun atmosphere to meet new friends who were in different Pre-K classes at Fisher, as well as practice some skills associated with going to kindergarten. (carrying a backpack, bringing a lunch, etc.) Kindergarten camp is full of fun daily activities including:

Work Schedule
Orientation and onboarding training will be provided under the guidance of the lead counselors during the first week (June 10-14). The schedule for this preparation week is flexible and may consist of up to 20 hours. The Lead Counselors will communicate needs and schedule for this week.
The camp is from June 17 to August 2, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm. We prefer to hire someone who can work through all 7 weeks to maintain consistency for children; however, days off with advance notice can be accommodated. No camp on June 19th and July 4th.
Supervision & Training
FELC will provide CPR/1st Aid/AED training and Medication Administration training. Recognition of Child Abuse and Neglect training through PDIS is required.

Hourly Range
The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00-$22.00.
