Under the general supervision of the Public Safety Supervisor, the Public Safety Officer will work to maintain a secure and safe environment for faculty, staff, patients, visitors and property. Duties will include communication functions of the Public Safety Department, rotation and receipt of all emergency and non-emergency incoming calls to the dispatch center, solicits descriptive information to determine the nature and urgency of the request and the location and scope of the incident.

Position Details
In this role, we anticipate that you will generally work approximately 40 hours per week. We anticipate that you will generally be scheduled to work 8hr shift, from approximately 11:00pm-7:30am and will not be scheduled for on-call shifts. The days of the week that you are scheduled will vary depending on the week, but we anticipate that you will be scheduled to work on weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday).
