Join UChicago Medicine, as a Military-Civilian Coordinator (MCC)in the Trauma Center.
The Military-Civilian Coordinator (MCC) is responsible for onboarding, orientation and coordination of training for all AMCT3 clinical staff at UChicago Medicine. The MCC is responsible for maintaining and escalating performance improvement opportunities and potential deviations from regulatory program requirements to hospital and AMCT3 leadership for assessment and resolution.
Participation in monthly Patient Improvement and Patient Safety (PIPS) meeting, falling under the auspices of both the Trauma Program Director (TPD)/Trauma Medical Director (TMD) with participation from Hospital/Biological services Division leadership and staff, is conducted ensuring that all in-hospital services providing trauma care are compliant with the meeting a high-quality standard. The MCC can assist the Trauma Program Director in reporting requirements to the Illinois Department of Health (IDPH), the American college of Surgeons and assist in reporting TQIP for local and national benchmarking, with the goal of improving quality of trauma care for the city of Chicago. The MCC will use evidenced-based practice and the nursing process to develop, institutionalize and evaluate new approaches to the AMCT3 program as well as assisting with educational training of nursing and AMCT3 staff.
