Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers, UChicago Medicine, as an Epic Client Systems Administrator for the IT Clinical Applications department.

Job Summary:

The Epic Client Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and maintaining Epic Windows Service Server Infrastructure and other Client Systems Applications. This position will have a focus on the following: EPS, Web BLOB, BCA, BCA Web, Digital Signing, BCA PC, EpicCare Remote Client, Epic Monitor and Epic Welcome. The ECSA will also work with Biscom fax servers. Other responsibilities may include Interconnect, MyChart, Care Link, Welcome Web, Hyperspace Web, Hyperdrive/Slingshot, Kuiper, and SystemPulse. The ECSA will work individually and with other teams to trouble shoot and resolve routine issues.

Essential Job Functions:

• Configure, deploy, and maintain Epic applications via Epic Kuiper and other tools.
• Provides Tier 2 & 3 end user support, works with vendors and infrastructure team members to support more complex level 3 issues.
• Participate in scheduled weekend and evening on-call support rotation.

Required Qualifications

• Associate, BS or BA degree, in computer science or technical area preferred, or equivalent training or work experience
• Proven skills in problem solving
• Must work well in a team environment and be able to partner with both business and technical team members
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in the programming language /tools used in the position
• Epic Certification, Epic Client Systems Administrator: BLOB, Business Continuity Access, and Printing preferred or equivalent training or work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a health care environment helpful
