POSITION SUMMARY

This role supports the administrative work of the Tour Cost Accounting team and is a fantastic entry-level position for someone looking to kick start their career in Accounting. An important element of the role is the maintenance of the Accounts Payable inbox and communication with suppliers. A high degree of organization is critical to being successful in this position. This position is the communication conduit between the Accounts Payable team, Cost Analysts, and the broader Destination America team, ensuring a smooth flow of information between all and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Payable inbox and assign invoices to the designated Cost Analyst/Accounts Payable team.
  • Communicate with suppliers, and internal departments providing Invoice/payment status.
  • Prepare journal entries to record Destination America’s (DA) Bank Activities.
  • Prepare monthly Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
  • Prepare journal entries to record Destination America’s (DA) on-the-road costs as well as to amortize/accrue prepaid monthly costs.
  • Generate and distribute weekly cash reports, sharing them with the Guernsey Finance team.
  • Run monthly reporting such as Price Give Away & Tour Operator Contribution Report
  • Reconcile supplier invoices with expected costs and approve the payments.
  • Coordinate the preparation and initiation of commission payments intended for coach drivers, ensuring prompt and accurate disbursements in adherence to company policies and procedures. 
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Competencies

  • Strong PC skills and knowledge of Oracle Financials, Excel, and MS Office required.
  • A thorough understanding of Outlook efficiencies is desirable and will be of great help in the role
  • Knowledge of a task management system involving status tracking or ticketing will be highly valued (eg Zen Desk, Service Now)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to interact with all levels of staff and management is required.
  • Individuals must be highly analytical, organized, and detail-oriented. Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills are required.
  • The ability to proactively solve problems and seek mutually agreeable solutions is essential

Travel & Other Requirements

  • Agreed days in the Cypress Office are required.
