The Global Director of Safety and Security will be responsible for establishing and leading the organization's comprehensive safety and security strategy. This individual will act as a strategic advisor to senior management and play a critical role in safeguarding the organization's people, assets, and reputation from complex threats and vulnerabilities. This position will be based in our Ventura, CA office location.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and integrated safety and security strategy:This involves analyzing organizational risks, conducting thorough risk assessments, and designing a multi-layered approach to mitigate identified threats.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership:Works closely with senior management to develop and align safety and security goals with the organization's overall strategic objectives. This includes creating a company-wide security risk assessment across TTD’s 35 offices and coworking sites that results in risk prioritization and a recommended remediation plan.
  • Oversee and manage the entire safety and security program:Develop and oversee emergency/incident response protocols that establish a matrix of responsibilities and intelligence flow to optimize collaboration, risk mitigation, speed and effectiveness response. This will also include developing executive, event, and travel safety and security protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation:The Director identifies opportunities for improvement in safety and security processes, technologies, and procedures. They also stay informed on emerging trends and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders:This includes fostering collaboration with internal departments, law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, regulatory bodies, and community partners.
  • Monitoring, Reporting & Response: Leverage existing systems such as Brivo, Envoy, Eagle Eye, and Dataminr to conduct ongoing threat monitoring. Identify and assess the most critical threats to TTD’s employees relating to geopolitical, environmental, and physical incidents. Assume vendor management and systems admin responsibilities for all security vendors. 
  • Respond to and manage critical incidents:The Director leads the organization's response to major safety and security incidents, ensuring effective crisis management and mitigation of potential damage. Maintain relationships with local, state, federal and international law enforcement agencies to facilitate incident management. 

Who You Are:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior-level safety and security leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of success in developing and implementing comprehensive safety and security programs.
  • Extensive knowledge of security best practices, risk management principles, and relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • You have expertise in global Safety and Security legal requirements (i.e.: Regulations, Codes, Standards, Directives, and Administrative Policies) and Duty of Care.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • You have outstanding interpersonal and creative problem-solving skills, that help you influence and work well with others at all levels of the organization, including executives.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in time-sensitive situations.
  • You have proficiency in Brivo, Envoy, Slack, Dataminr and/or other event management software.
  • Must be able to travel domestic/international as needed.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in security management, business administration, or a related field a plus.
