Job DescriptionThe Town of Ocean City’s Maintenance Division is hiring internally for a Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor would be responsible for various operations within the Town’s Streets, Special Events, Beach, Boardwalk, Janitorial and Parking Lot operations. Supervises the work of crews engaged in maintenance of streets, beaches, buildings, grounds, and related work. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding, disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.Schedule: Work schedules are varied with days, nights, weekends, and include change of shifts during seasonal demands for increased services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Position DetailsDirectly supervises employees within division for meeting responsibilities and accomplishing overall goals. As a member of Division team, creates multiple work details and schedules up to 40 full-time employees and 59 seasonal employees. Candidate must submit a 3-year driving record, possess a valid driver’s license with CDL endorsement or obtain CDL endorsement within 6 months of hiring.Must have current DOT physical card and ability to pass all mandated alcohol/drug tests.High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with minimum of two (2) years related field experience and/or training in a supervisory capacity; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Salary is $65,048 plus a competitive benefits packageHiring is subject to pre-employment drug screening and background check.Equal Opportunity EmployerVeterans are encouraged to apply.
