Do you want to work as a Director/Lead Teacher at a unique program? We specialize in the early learning, social, and developmental needs of toddlers, 12 months up to approximately 3.5 years old. Our license was recently extended to include infants, but we are not expanding into that age group as of now. Do you have a passion and love for working with this specific age group?
Opening for an enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Center Director/Lead Teacher. The ideal candidate has a positive mindset and be team oriented. Looking for a person who is creative, nurturing, patient, and gentle with children in the classroom, but is also motivated to be leader within the program.
This position is a hybrid of Lead Teacher, with specific dedicated responsibilities of a Director. Tasks may include, but are not limited to overseeing the day-to-day operations of the center, immediate supervision of staff, giving tours, overseeing enrollment, tuition billing, emailing and filing paperwork, as outlined by the NH Child Care Licensing Unit, and as assigned by the owner. Strong oral and written skills are a must for the administrative portion of the position. The director should be confident, articulate, a self starter, and be able to work under the directive of the owner.
All candidates must have a minimum of an Associates degree in Early Childhood or a degree in Elementary Education, from an accredited college. A bachelors degree or higher is preferred, but not required. The Director candidate must have experience working in Early Childhood Education/pre-K in a Center based program or Elementary School.
Additional experience will include working in a supervisory role (2 years minimum) and strong management skills, both staff and office related.
A criminal record and fingerprint check, infant and child CPR/First Aid are required for this position, as well as maintaining annual professional development and health and life safety hours.
Full-time, year-round position, 40 hours or more per week, as necessary (typically 40-45 hrs). We offer approximately 6 weeks off paid, per year including holidays, vacation closures, and personal time!
Since we are a small program, health insurance is not offered at this time.
