Job description:The Tool and Gage House is actively looking for a proactive and competent hands-on supervisor/on-site calibration manager to join their team in Corinth, MS. Don't miss this immediate opening and take charge of your career!
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Some of the duties of the Site manager are (but are not limited to):
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of gauge and torque tool calibrations.
  • Responsible for all administration required to maintain contracted duties. Responsible for all procedures, work instructions, and forms utilized in the day-to-day operation.
  • Responsible for creating/maintaining a team atmosphere through effective communication, constructive feedback, corrective actions, and incentives to perform.
  • Responsible for Monthly Quality Reports as required by Management.
  • Primary on-site contact for any special requests not covered in the contract.
  • Liaison for Tool & Gage personnel.
  • Responsible for management services in accordance with ISO-9000 or site-stated accreditation and stated policies and procedures
  • Providing direction, training, and leadership of the T&G personnel related to the contract.
  • Responsible for managing the Safety Committee and ensuring the site is OSHA compliant.
  • Ensure all TGH responsible areas are 5S maintained.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Qualifications include an associate's degree in engineering or a related field and one (1) year of related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably within the automotive industry. Management experience preferred. Requires the ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with various levels of internal and external customers. Must be able to solve practical problems and work effectively under tight deadlines. Must possess superior negotiation and presentation skills. Must be detail-oriented. Must be Proactive in all aspects of business. Must have a continuous improvement work mentality.
The successful candidate has a technical background, either academic or experience-based. It is preferred that this person have a background in precision metrology; however, successful candidates may also have a background in electronics, medical device manufacturing, food, and drug manufacturing, or other related fields where accuracy and precision are daily requirements. The candidate will have some experience with international standards, preferably ISO/IEC 17025, ASME B89, and ISO 9001. The successful candidate will differentiate themselves by showing expertise in balancing immediate emergencies with long-term balance to make critical decisions multiple times a day.
The individual must possess excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and work well within a team environment.
Candidates who meet the qualifications should possess strong skills in basic computer software applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet. Strong mathematical skills are mandatory for this role.
