Youth Development Community Engagement Leader

Under general supervision, the Youth Development Community Engagement Leader position will assist with the oversight of the ZOOTeen Volunteer program.
Responsibilities may include:
· Providing on and off-site supervision of ZOOTeen volunteers
· Leading off site conservation and community service projects for ZOOTeen Volunteers
· Coaching ZOOTeen Volunteers at educational stations in public engagement and conservation messaging
· Scheduling volunteers, making/returning phone calls and emails
· Supporting other Volunteer Department responsibilities including special events, exhibit demonstrations, etc.
This is a seasonal position; 28 Hours per week from Memorial Day weekend – Labor Day and an option to work weekends in the Spring and Fall of 2024. Preferred High School diploma and experience working with age groups from 13 – 17 years old. Must have a valid drivers’ license, be 21 years of age (to be insurable by our fleet insurance carrier) and will be required to pass a background check. Must be able to work weekends, evenings, and holidays. The Toledo Zoo is a drug and alcohol free workplace.
