Our Education team is in search of people who are passionate about learning new things and giving our guests the best possible experience
RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
· Preparing daily for camp sessions, including gathering supplies, setting up camp rooms, and reviewing schedules
· Leading the education aspects of our camp and ensuring all children can participate
· Supervising groups of children in a classroom and throughout the zoo grounds
· Communicating camp policies, issues, comments, and concerns to parents, co-workers, and the camp manager
· Directing teen volunteers in tasks to assist with the program
· Handling concerns and situations quickly yet effectively
Work schedules are many during the week, but may include weekends and holidays. Must have the physical ability to work on your feet and be able to walk the Zoo grounds for several hours at a time.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with children in a camp or classroom setting. Strong customer service and communication skills are necessary. Applicants who have obtained or are pursuing a degree in the education or biological science field are preferred.
