The Toasted Pickle, a busy artisan sandwich shop in downtown Rockford is searching for a Assistant General Manager to lead our team in a fun, creative and positive environment. We are looking for a hardworking, upbeat person who possesses excellent leadership skills and an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of a restaurant.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

● Oversee all FOH staff

● Interview, hire and set up training for new employees

● Coach and mentor employees as needed

● Write schedules

● Place food and supply orders

● Maintain positive atmosphere

● Foster a climate of cooperation and respect throughout restaurant

● Inspect all equipment and work areas for cleanliness and functionality

● Maintain a cleaning and maintenance schedule

● Meet or exceed all health code and safety standards

● Identify ways to maintain and reduce costs

● Perform employee reviews

● Assist chef with feature and soup scheduling

● Ensure staff follows all alcohol laws

Applicant Qualifications:

● Two or more years of restaurant experience

● Willingness to be a “hands on” manager

● Positive attitude

● Knowledge of alcohol sales a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
