We are looking for an attorney to become part of our Workers' Compensation department in our ever-growing organization. Compensation:

$80,000 - $100,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Effectively and efficiently handle a caseload of over 100 worker’s compensation cases
  • Negotiate and resolve workers’ compensation cases promptly for top-dollar
  • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
  • Be able to appropriately communicate with clients
  • Work with the Case Manager to confirm coverage via e-case or WCC Verify Coverage
  • Draft, review, and submit WC Forms to the Commission and other parties
  • Represent Claimants in their hearings as scheduled by the SCWCC
  • Thoroughly investigate each case, including but not limited to identifying and obtaining statements from witnesses and obtaining surveillance video
  • Work with the Case Manager, client, and Nurse Case Manager to ensure the client attends all scheduled doctor’s appointments
  • Work with the Case Manager to coordinate necessary and reasonable IMEs, as needed
Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
  • Able to work independently while handling multiple files
  • Must currently be barred in good standing in South Carolina or sitting for the July 2024 Bar Exam
  • Self-motivated and competitive spirit
  • Experience in the personal injury field is a plus
  • Familiarity with Litify is a plus
  • Trial experience is a plus
  • 0-3 years experience in the legal field
