We are looking for an attorney to become part of our Workers' Compensation department in our ever-growing organization. Compensation:$80,000 - $100,000 yearly
Responsibilities:- Effectively and efficiently handle a caseload of over 100 worker’s compensation cases
- Negotiate and resolve workers’ compensation cases promptly for top-dollar
- Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
- Be able to appropriately communicate with clients
- Work with the Case Manager to confirm coverage via e-case or WCC Verify Coverage
- Draft, review, and submit WC Forms to the Commission and other parties
- Represent Claimants in their hearings as scheduled by the SCWCC
- Thoroughly investigate each case, including but not limited to identifying and obtaining statements from witnesses and obtaining surveillance video
- Work with the Case Manager, client, and Nurse Case Manager to ensure the client attends all scheduled doctor’s appointments
- Work with the Case Manager to coordinate necessary and reasonable IMEs, as needed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
- Able to work independently while handling multiple files
- Must currently be barred in good standing in South Carolina or sitting for the July 2024 Bar Exam
- Self-motivated and competitive spirit
- Experience in the personal injury field is a plus
- Familiarity with Litify is a plus
- Trial experience is a plus
- 0-3 years experience in the legal field
