Job Description
This position may pay more than the minimum proposed salary listed above, depending on experience and / or qualifications of the selected candidate.
The Financial Accountant I, under direction, performs entry-level professional accounting. The primary purpose of this position is to review the posting of all housing charges to student accounts and assisting with inquiries related to housing charges.
Responsibilities :
Performs accounting work to include the recording, examining, and analyzing financial records, documents or reports. Prepares and analyzes financial transactions.
Researches discrepancies and reports findings. Answers general accounting questions.
Provides technical assistance regarding accounting procedures. Assures compliance with standards, policies and procedures.
Assigns object codes.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
No prior work experience required.
Preferred Education and Experience
One year of related experience.
Bachelor degree in Accounting / Business Administration / Finance.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Oral and written communication skills. Customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
