A financial services organization in Connecticut is actively seeking a diligent and driven professional to join their Fund Accounting team as a Valuation Specialist. 
Responsibilities
The Valuation Specialist will be responsible for:

• Preparing and reviewing valuation reporting utilized by management, the board of directors and deal teams
• Reviewing fair value memos and models for Hard-to-Value investments, such as private bank loans, real estate backed loans, and private equity
• Various special projects as needed

Qualifications

•  3-5 years’ experience at a public accounting firm in their financial services group, or at an asset management or valuation firm
• Excellent Excel skills, technically savvy
• Outstanding attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills
• Team-oriented

Desired skills

• Familiarity with Bloomberg and/or other market data providers
• CPA and/or CFA (or desire to pursue CFA)
• Experience with fair market valuation models
