The Tandym Group is Hiring an Instructional Design Specialist Near Newark, NJ

A services organization in New Jersey is currently seeking a new Instructional Design Specialist for a promising opportunity with their growing team. In this role, the Instructional Design Specialist will be responsible for leading the efforts to redesign the company's Digital and e-Learning training experiences. 
 
Responsibilities:
The Instructional Design Specialist will:

  • Identify training needs from multiple business entities of the organization
  • Develop e-learning lesson outlines and project plans for curriculum development and provide guidance on development timelines
  • Provide guidance on the educational structure of training to SMEs throughout the organization
  • Execute a planned content development structure and turn conceptualized e-learning ideas into functional LMS-ready (SCORM/TinCan) modules for distribution and assignment using content development software
  • Continually evaluate existing training for improvement and develop a cadence of continual review for published content and ensure that content remains Accessible and inclusive for diverse audiences
  • Evaluate and improve upon the educational efficacy of e-learning modules and ensure they are interactive, engaging, educationally valid, meaningful, and impactful
  • Remain up to date on the latest trends in education, instructional design and learning theory, embrace change and model a strategy of continuous improvement
  • Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience in developing e-learning lesson outlines and project plans for curriculum development and provide guidance on development timelines.
  • Working knowledge of Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise)
  • Solid problem solving and time management skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
