The Tandym Group is Hiring a Contracts Specialist Near Woburn, MA

A pharmaceutical company in Massachusetts is looking to add a new Contracts Specialist to their growing team. In this role, the Contracts Specialist will be responsible for administering corporate legal processes, managing company agreements, and assisting with other necessary duties and tasks to support the Legal Department. 
Responsibilities:
The Contracts Specialist will:
  • Prepare initial drafts and reviews of contracts and/or other legal documents, ranging from standard to highly complex
  • Manage life cycle of contracts from contract request through closure
  • Guide internal clients through the contract request process
  • Review contract requests and statements of work against Company requirements and policies and prioritize requests against department priorities
  • Act as liaison between internal clients and the legal department for timely processing of contracts.
  • Identify and assist attorneys with resolution of issues affecting completion of contracts
  • Gather, quantify, and report on legal department metrics
  • Conduct legal issue identification, investigate factual issues, and analysis and legal risk assessment at a high para-professional level
  • Interpret and respond to requests for information, documents, and status-up-dates-from colleagues seeking legal support
  • Provide support in transactional due diligence
  • Perform special projects and general support for the Legal Department
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience as a Contract Administrator and/or Paralegal
  • Associate's Degree
  • Contract Review, Administration, and Transactional experience
  • Microsoft Office proficient
  • Solid analytical and research skills
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly organized
Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Paralegal certification
  • Experience supporting an In-house Legal department
  • Experience using DocuSign and Box.com
  • Experience with Contracts Database Management platforms, such as Ironclad
