A healthcare services organization in New York City is currently seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join their staff as their new Assistant Nurse Manager - Oncology. In this role, the Assistant Nurse Manager will be responsible for overseeing the care provided to Oncology patients and ensure that patients receive appropriate assessments, treatments, and interventions, and that their needs are met.
Responsibilities:
The Assistant Nurse Manager - Oncology will:

• Monitor and maintain the quality of care within the oncology department, including reviewing patient records, conducting audits, and ensuring that evidence-based practices are followed
• Managing and coordinating an efficient operation for staffing the needs and assuring quality patient care
• Maintaining the units in accordance with current Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines and regulations
• Reviewing medical records to determine regulatory compliance
• Advising the Nurse Manager and Directors of Medical, Clinical, and Nursing staff of findings on a regular basis
• Providing staff education to ensure ongoing compliance of policy and procedures
• Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 3 years of Acute Care Clinical experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
• OCN certification
• Experience in a Leadership and/or Supervisory role
• Solid assessment and documentation skills
• Patietn oriented
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• Master's Degree in Nursing
• CCRN certification
