TGH is the area's only level I trauma center and one of just two ABA-verified adult & pediatric burn centers in Florida. With five medical helicopters*, we transport critically injured or ill patients from 23 surrounding counties to receive the advanced care they need. The hospital is home to one of the busiest solid organ transplant centers in the country. TGH is a nationally designated comprehensive stroke center, and has a 32-bed Neuroscience Intensive Care Unit. Job Summary

The APRN or Physician Assistant provides nursing and medical services to individuals, families, and groups, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic diseases. Works autonomously as well as in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage clients' health care problems. Maintains an annual protocol with supervising physician, as required by state professional regulatory agencies. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with mission, vision, and values in accordance with Tampa General Hospital.

Required Skills

Current licensure as PA / Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Florida; Acute Care certification. Robotics, Urology surgery and/or Trauma experience is preferred. The APP on the TGPN Urology Service will work closely with the attending and the team on a daily basis. Primary responsibilities will include providing follow up care for inpatients, as well as some new patient evaluations, clinical coordination, operating room, and management. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in hospital inpatient robotics or urology care. Hours and training will cover weekdays (5) eight-hour days.
