This position requires an understanding of the full data lifecycle within our enclave environment. The suc-cessful candidate will have significant Data Engineering technical capabilities as well as intelligence analysis skills (analytical methodology and practice, writing and production, briefing, identification of knowledge gaps, etc.). This team member will provide an interface between end-users and the Development Team. The team member must be able to coordinate with multiple Customer partners and excel on individual projects as well as contribute to joint efforts. Work independently with a small team of system engineers responsible for the care and feeding of a homogeneous Windows and Linux Based architecture (the system base is a mix of virtual and bare metal servers).
REQUIRED SKILLS
1. 8 years of experience in data engineering, technical analysis, technical targeting or similar relevant technical discipline.
2. Hands-on experience using commercially available data exploitation and visualization tools for analysis. (e.g. MS Excel, Tableau, Wireshark, X-ways, Encase)
3. 3. Familiarity with scripting or programming with Linux, Python, or any other languages
4. Experience analyzing both large and small data sets for trends and patterns.
5. Experience producing informational, contextual and/or intelligence products that embody and explain findings for a variety of audiences.
6. Familiarity with field HUMINT, cyber collection with in-depth knowledge of national intelligence Agen-cies.
7. Familiarity or experience writing cables.
8. Strong briefing and writing skills and the ability to work well with teams or individually.
9. Knowledge of computing processing platforms (e.g. computers, mobile, I.O.T.)
10. Knowledge of mobile technologies to include cellular networks (WiFi, Bluetooth etc.)
11. Able to translate and communicate analyst/targeter end-user needs and desires to developers providing system upgrades, features and added data value.
12. Represent “Super-Users” for ongoing system development efforts by the Team.
13. Ability to partner with other systems administrators, storage administrators, application developers, and network engineers to solve complex problems
DESIRED SKILLS
1. Familiarity with the Linux Operating System
2. Virtual Desktop provisioning
3. Experience working with syslog applications such as Splunk
4. Experience with full-text search applications such as ElasticSearch
5. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to digest and explain complex data requirements for a non-technical audience
