POSITION OVERVIEW
The Temporary Assessment Monitoring Specialist will play a critical role in supporting the State Assessment Office by assisting with the implementation of the Academic Assessment Monitoring Program. This individual will mentor new district testing coordinators (DTCs), provide training on new assessment programs and procedures, and ensure adherence to assessment protocols and guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, educational administration, or a closely related field [official transcripts required upon hire];
  • Two (2) year’s experience as a district test coordinator;
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree in education, educational administration, or a closely related field [official transcripts required upon hire];
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future;
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment background check;
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license from a U.S. state or territory to perform necessary job-related travel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Knowledge & Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of assessment protocols, procedures, and guidelines, including familiarity with state and federal regulations governing assessment administration. Knowledge of test security measures, accommodation procedures, and assessment logistics is essential.
  • Academic Assessment Monitoring: Assist in the implementation and oversight of the Academic Assessment Monitoring Program to ensure the integrity and security of academic assessments administered in Oklahoma schools.
  • Mentorship of New DTCs: Provide mentorship and guidance to new district testing coordinators (DTCs) to support their understanding of assessment protocols, procedures, and responsibilities.
  • Training Delivery: Develop and deliver training sessions for district testing coordinators (DTCs) on new assessment programs, procedures, and software platforms. Ensure DTCs are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to administer assessments effectively.
  • Program Support: Assist with the coordination of assessment programs, including test administration, data collection, scoring, and reporting. Collaborate with the State Assessment Office team to address any issues or concerns related to assessment administration.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training sessions, mentorship activities, and assessment monitoring efforts. Prepare reports and documentation as needed to track progress and compliance with assessment protocols.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance to district testing coordinators (DTCs) on assessment-related inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and resolving challenges encountered during assessment administration.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Location: Home Office
  • The work environment for this position includes:
    • Climate-controlled office setting with exposure to moderate noise; employee is frequently required to talk, walk, and stand; this position requires long periods of sitting and daily use of computer and phone. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time;
  • Ability to stand, reach and bend 50% of the time;
  • Operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine/printer, office telephone 75% of the time;
  • Ascends/descends stairs 25% of the time;
  • Communicate with others accurately and effectively 100%;
  • Ability to lift to 25 lbs.
TRAVEL
Less than 10% in-state/out-of-state travel may be required to conduct, facilitate, and/or attend meetings and trainings.
