The State of New Hampshire, Liquor Commission has a vacancy for a Program Specialist I (On & off Premise Licensee Specialist).
Summary:
To develop, research, and monitor pricing programs to enhance on premise licensee purchasing including the relevant education, marketing, and promotional needs of the licensees.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and identify market trends, recommend and formulate modifications to existing programs based on those trends.
Evaluate and recommend individual sale pricing based on observations, market performance, audits, and evaluations of all product pricing and gross profit effect specific to the on premise licensee.
Recommend sale pricing and identify opportunities for favorable price perception to on premise licensees that support the Commission objective for increasing sales.
Make presentations, meet with industry personnel, and negotiate programs to increase profit margins.
Act as an official representative of the agency in explaining programs available to on premise licensees.
Assist in formulating marketing strategies, which require an understanding of financial policies and the ability to compute those policies.
Maintains commission database for pricing structure relative to on premise pricing.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly data reporting for supervisors.

18 Months of additional relevant experience = Associate's degree
36 Months of additional relevant experience = Bachelor's degree
54 Months of additional relevant experience = Master's degree
Other information:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university with major study in Business Administration, Marketing, or a Business or Marketing related field. Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Experience: Two years of professional or paraprofessional experience in the beverage industry dealing with the sale and promotion of liquor products, with the responsibility for planning, monitoring programs, or performing research. Each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
License/Certification : Must hold a valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for travel throughout the state.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
1. For appointment consideration, Program Specialist I applicants must successfully participate in a structured interview measuring possession of knowledge, skills and abilities identified as necessary for satisfactory job performance by this class specification. The structured interview is developed and administered, according to Division of Personnel guidelines, by representatives of the state agency in which the vacancy exists.
