The position (K0241461)
The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has a Bureau of Air Coordinator opening in Topeka. This position oversees and monitors bureau billing and serves as liaison for local agency agreements. Monitor local agency work effort and match. Assures funds are transferred in accordance with the terms of agreements, state, federal guidelines and policy. Review orders, vouchers, bills and other information to approve requested merchandise or reimbursements. Reviews and manages bureau expenditures for various EPA grants (DERA/ARRA). Enters effort sheets into database and keeps tracks of various programs.
Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
Serves as backup to the BOA administrative staff when needed and upon request. This means being backing for the Bureau's main phone line, screen and route calls, greet visitors, signing them in and providing name badges. For the Kansas Residential Lead Program, create starter packets consisting of bundling booklets, letters, and certificates to be mailed. Mail out renewal notice letters at the first of every month utilizing database information. Create files for new applications and file information in the file room. Assist the asbestos unit with data stamping and entering applications into access database. May also be included in other special projects for the Bureau as assigned by the supervisor.
Maintain inventory records for designated BOA properties. Oversees and manages the Bureau's specialized optical data imaging equipment which involves the preparation of documents for scanning, scanning document, indexing of documents, and reviewing of documents scanned for completeness and accuracy. Maintains and manages the scheduling of the scanning documents for the bureau including the asbestos and Kansas Residential Lead Program. Maintain the flow of records for the input of documents into the optical data imaging system and for the storage of records once items are stored in the system.
