Your Specific Responsibilities:

Virtual Assistants are being used to reallocate staff time and refocusing job duties by providing a way for the customer to directly access new and historic organizational information. This is resulting in a reduction of call volume and emails. Using Artificial Intelligence, we can answer simple questions and provide information more autonomously. This allows staff to focus their attention on more complicated questions and issues. This position is responsible for the development, analysis, optimization, and modification of vendor products. This position reports to the Operations Manager C-SES in the Advanced Technology Team of the System Support Services Unit within the Bureau of Operations. This is a vital position, responsible for supporting a culture of teamwork, quality, high performance, and continuous improvement. The incumbent in this position performs advanced level work with independent performance under limited supervision. There will be many opportunities for training and learning new skills and processes that will help elevate you and provide promotional opportunities within the organization.

Examples of Job Duties:

  • Analyze reports for potential errors and opportunities for optimization.
  • Identify configuration changes that will result in a benefit to overall customer experience. Perform and test identified changes based on departmental standards. Update documentation created due to configuration change and communicate to appropriate staff.
  • Collaborate with vendors, team members, and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between system usability, customer experience, and business needs. Help managers and business stakeholders understand the potential and limitations of the system when planning new products.
  • Assist with the deployment of improved or modified systems models into production.
  • Aid system users in the testing of configuration changes by using User Acceptance Testing with stakeholders, including executives, managers, business analysts, subject matter experts, vendors, and end users.
  • Help create training and best practices documentation for team members and other stakeholders. Contribute to creating reports to be used by managers or other team members. Analyze created reports for requirement identification.
  • Perform other work-related duties as required.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with information and document management systems
  • Experience analyzing and configuring existing applications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to communicate technical issues, risks, and approaches to non-technical managers
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical problems and recommend or implement design changes
  • Experience with programming fundamentals
