The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs (FDVA) seeks to hire talented and dedicated individuals who share our commitment to excellence. The incumbent in this position serves as a Distributed Computer Systems Analyst for the Agency and reports to a Distributed Computer Systems Analyst II – SES position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position serves as the Distributed Computer Systems Analyst for the FDVA and is tasked with transitioning Infrastructure from on-premises to the Cloud. Configures and supports Cloud solutions for HQ, 13 large and many remote sites. Monitor capacity, reliability, and performance of the MS tenant and adjust levels as needed to provide acceptable uptime and system performance. Maintain records of server topology including diagrams of any residual on-premises servers. Test RTO/RPO from backups and ensure compliance. Assist in gathering audit evidence annually. Analyze and resolve hardware, software, and communications problems using diagnostic software and/or technical troubleshooting processes for the MS tenant.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities, including utilization of equipment, required for the position: Forward thinking individual with a passion for innovation and emerging technologies possessing the ability to digitally transform an antiquated ecosystem. Listens to what other people say and asks questions to assess and fit gaps needed for digital transformation. Analyzing needs and product requirements to create designs. Conducts tests to determine whether equipment, software, or procedures are operating as expected. Transitions environment to a Cloud-native DevSecOps architecture applying critical thinking, identifying long-term implications, implementation planning, equipment selection, and coordination training session agency wide.
Ability to: Plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments; process information logically, troubleshoot and solve problems; work collaboratively or independently; communicate clearly-orally and in writing; display professional attitude in all circumstances; learn in a fast-paced environment; pay attention to detail; analyze and interpret technical data; act as a project technical stakeholder contributing to research and documentation.
