Overview : We are searching for an entry level assembler or technician to join our client s talented team in installing hardware into a rocket.

Successful candidates will have a mechanical background, have strong attention to detail, be highly motivated and will have a strong desire to join the client s mission of people working and living in space!

Required Qualifications :

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 years of experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or another related field.
• Experience in one or more areas required : fluids and tubing install, instrumentation, and electrical harness routing, general Aerospace / Launch vehicle assembly.
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures.
• Basic digital literacy such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc. required.
• Ability to work optimally with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities required.
• Industry certification, trade school training, A&P, and / or degree in a related field preferred.
• Proven success as a hands-on technical leader preferred.
• Continuous improvement attitude required.
• Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it.
• Experience in handling large aerospace components preferred.
• Experience in assembling large tight-tolerance structures preferred.
• Experience in new product introduction preferred.
• Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing and / or Six Sigma certification.
• Physical Requirements : Climb ladders / stairs and work in small, restricted areas; Work at Heights on work stands and in lifts;

Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 35lbs. Ability to lift up to 50lbs.

Must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.

S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities :

• Manufacture, assemble, and test aerospace rocket according to written procedures.
• Set up new production work areas, including tooling and equipment.
• Assist with the transition from development to production, including first articles.
• Perform second party verifications and hardware inspections to engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and / or maintenance.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control.
• Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicles and subassembly transportation equipment, truck-trailer combinations and other ground support equipment as required.
• Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser tracker, height gauges and optical measuring instruments.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency.
• Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
• Work collaboratively with teams of diverse skills, fields, and backgrounds.
• Other duties as assigned or otherwise beneficial to fulfilling the mission and vision.
