Job Description
Junior Systems Administrator
Job Summary:
- Work under supervision to administer and support clinical systems and workflows.
- Assist in system configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with IT leadership and vendors to optimize infrastructure performance and security.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and system upgrades.
- Serve as a liaison between IT and clinical teams, ensuring smooth workflow and issue resolution.
THIS IS AN IN OFFICE POSITION
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in system maintenance, upgrades, and data center operations.
- Perform network administration tasks and hardware setup.
- Ensure adherence to IT security principles and maintain relevant documentation.
- Evaluate and test system upgrades and patches.
- Provide support for clinical information systems and infrastructure reliability.
- Collaborate with vendors on projects and issue resolution.
- Monitor system performance and contribute to ongoing improvements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in networks, servers, and storage systems.
- Self-motivated with effective prioritization skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and system administration knowledge.
- Flexibility to work independently or in a team.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory, Cisco networking, and security protocols.
- Understanding of HIPAA and other regulatory requirements.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems preferred.
- CompTIA Network certification required.
- Minimum three years of professional experience in an information systems role.
- Training in Microsoft Active Directory, Cisco networking, and VMware administration preferred.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and security regulations required.
