Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team of professionals in providing telehealth services to school-aged children in the K-12 setting. As an SLPA at The Speak Center for Language and Learning, you will work closely with our licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support the implementation of individualized therapy plans and facilitate the development of communication skills in children.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist licensed SLPs in the assessment, treatment, and documentation of speech and language disorders in school-aged children through telehealth platforms.

2. Implement therapy activities and interventions under the guidance and supervision of licensed SLPs.

3. Provide direct support and assistance to students during teletherapy sessions, ensuring engagement and participation.

4. Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, parents, and other professionals involved in the child's education to facilitate a cohesive approach to therapy goals.

5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and other relevant documentation.

6. Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and training sessions as required.

7. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in accordance with state regulations and company policies.

8. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development in the field of speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.

2. Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Arizona.

3. Prior experience working with school-aged children preferred.

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate children in a virtual setting.

5. Proficiency in using telehealth platforms and technology for therapy sessions.

6. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

7. Reliable internet connection and appropriate workspace for telecommuting.

8. Commitment to upholding ethical standards and confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
