Position Summary:

SCADD is currently seeking a Full time Peer/Recovery Coach for our Transitional Housing to provide one to one and group client engagement including referral, linkage, and coordination of wrap around services according to individual needs. Recovery coaches will assist individuals with integrating relapse prevention skills and independent living skills while engaged in treatment.

About the Agency:

The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. (SCADD) has been providing quality treatment services to men and women struggling with addiction since 1966. SCADD is able to provide a continuum of treatment services, licensed by the State of Connecticut, Department of Public Health. We are an agency that believes in second chances and the ability of people to find recovery. We provide High-Intensity Residential Treatment, Low-Intensity Residential Treatment, Outpatient & Intensive Outpatient, Withdrawal Management (formerly referred to as Detox) Medication Management, and Recovery Housing. SCADD’s Recovery Housing facilities, Withdrawal Management facility, and Outpatient facility are funded and supported by The United Way of Southeastern Connecticut. Our empathetic, compassionate staff is dedicated to supporting people with addiction.

If selected for employment with The Southeastern Council on Alcoholism & Drug Dependence, Inc., newly hired employees will be required to attend a mandatory New Hire Orientation which will take place at our Administrative Offices in Norwich, CT.

About the program:

­­­­­­­­­SCADD’s Transitional Housing is a residential treatment program with locations in Norwich and New London, Connecticut. The program is designed to assist and support men and women in their sobriety. This program affords individuals the opportunity to apply learned recovery skills, prevent relapse and promote personal responsibility. Residents are able to reintegrate into educational, vocational, familial and social structures.

Requirements

Must have or be working toward Recovery Peer certification with CT Certification Board.
