What you’ll do:
Set up and operates CNC fabricating machines, Radial Arm Saws, Band Saws, Miter Saws, Automatic Saws, Punch Presses, and Drill Presses, to cut, bend, and form Extruded Aluminum and Steel according to blueprints and specifications:
Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering specifications, and work orders to determine machine setup, production methods, and sequence of operation.
Selects and secures proper tooling and fixtures onto machine.
Positions and clamps stops and guides. Adjusts controls to set and regulate factors, such as pressure and depth of ram stroke, angle, and machine speed.
Locates and marks bending or cutting lines and reference points on work piece.
Positions work piece against stops and guides or aligns layout marks with dies or cutting blades.
Starts machine and observes machine operation.
Trims, files, grinds, and deburrs surfaces, using hand tools and portable power tools.
Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as tape measure, calipers, scales, dial indicators, gauges, and micrometers.
What you need to be successful:
HS Diploma or GED required • Attention to Detail
Mathematical skills including converting fractions to decimals
Ability to use a tape measure
Ability to use a blue print or be to use a blue print
Computer experience including Microsoft windows OS
Problem solving skills
Capable of lifting 75 pounds and sliding over 100 pounds with assistance• Teamwork
