What you’ll do:

The Electric Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the electrical systems of our box trucks are installed and functioning correctly, contributing to the overall quality and safety of our vehicles.

Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, lighting, switches, and control panels, in box trucks according to engineering specifications.
  • Conduct diagnostic tests to identify electrical malfunctions and troubleshoot issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Repair or replace faulty electrical components, such as sensors, relays, fuses, and connectors, to restore functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Collaborate with other members of the assembly team to coordinate electrical installations with other vehicle components.
  • Participate in quality control inspections to verify the integrity and performance of electrical systems before vehicle completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed, including installation procedures, test results, and any modifications or repairs.
  • Provide technical support and assistance to other technicians as needed.


What you need to be successful:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a vocational or technical training program in electrical systems preferred.
  • 2-3 years of hands-on experience in electrical work and troubleshooting, preferably in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, diagrams, and blueprints.
  • Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and circuit testers.
  • Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, components, and wiring practices.
  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
  • Willingness to comply with safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment as required.
