The Shield Institute is Hiring a Vocational Assistants (Job Coach) Near Flushing, NY
Assists in providing person-centered transition services within the community as described in the students’ individualized education programs. Additionally, when not performing his/her assigned duties in the community, assists classroom Teachers in providing individualized educational programs and in maintaining classroom structure.
Requirements: Applicants require a High School Diploma or equivalent. Six college credits from an accredited college or university preferred and must hold a valid NYS teacher assistant certificate.
Hourly rate $16 to $24
Location: 144-61 Roosevelt Avenue, Flushing, NY 11354 School Age Special Education Program
Work schedule: (30 hpw/12 months) Mon - Fri 8:15 am -3:00 pm
