The Sherwin-Williams Company is Hiring an Associate Marketing Data Manager Near Cleveland, OH

The PCG Marketing Information Organization (MIO) supports divisions to make better, faster decisions with data. They play a leadership role in managing product attribution data including but not limited to development of data standards, enrichment of attribution data and meeting requirements for several outbounds which leverage this data. The MIO team collaborates with several functional areas to serve our primary internal customers (marketing, product management and R&D).

This on-going initiative requires an Associate Marketing Data Manager to identify and execute projects that support product data enrichment while working closely with Marketing, R&D, Sales, IT, and the Center of Excellence data maintenance team. The role will also partner with divisions on downstream uses for marketing product data.

Job Description: The Associate Marketing Data Manager will work to understand the needs of Division marketing teams and identify and implement strategic projects, process improvements, and tactical data management to support those needs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, as the product owner, select internal commercial tools to help our Sales and Marketing teams identify products and product data faster:
    • Gathering feedback from the Sales and Marketing teams on their vision, use cases, requirements, and pain points with respect to the data needed to sell product.
    • Driving adoption and customer satisfaction with select digital tools.
  • Engage in other MIO initiatives including: AI assisted automated datasheet creation, product attribution enrichment, and data support for public websites and other outbounds.
  • Support and facilitate the PCG marketing product data management strategy.
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects to ensure efficient and accurate product data delivery.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, including marketing, product management, subject matter experts, regulatory/compliance teams, application developers, end users and third parties/vendors, to ensure satisfaction throughout the product life cycle.
  • Develop expertise in systems, processes, and business requirements related to marketing product master data management.
  • Support efforts to identify and prioritize additional downstream tools leveraging marketing product data which would help divisions create and capture value.
  • While not a primary function, the role may be asked to coordinate and advance innovation and ideation tools and processes, as well as data analytics and insights tools that are being lead and developed by the MIO team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

FORMAL EDUCATION:

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree

Preferred:

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

Required:

  • At least 5 years of experience with Marketing, R&D, data management, or technical service
  • Experience in analyzing large, complex data files.
  • Experience contributing to cross functional teams or projects.
  • Comfortable training others on digital tools.

Preferred:

  • 6 years in Marketing, R&D, data management, or technical service.
  • Experience with MDM concepts.
  • Experience with Google Analytics.
  • Broad understanding of various SHW markets served.
  • Experience being a part of global teams.
  • Ability to simplify complex business requirements and turn them into actionable projects.

TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Required:

  • Comfortable using or learning Business Intelligence and Reporting tools.
  • Must be detail oriented and capable of handling multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a complex environment.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: (TIME SPENT AWAY FROM HOME OR OTHER TYPICAL OFFICE LOCATION)

  • 10%

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
