Job Summary:
The Sheraton Palo Alto is seeking a highly motivated and personable individual to join our team as a Full-time AM Server. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. As an individual contributor, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding dining experience at our luxury hotel in Palo Alto. This is a full-time, hourly position with a compensation of $20 per hour, paid biweekly.

Responsibilities:
• Greet guests and make them feel welcome while providing exceptional customer service
• Take food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the POS system
• Serve food and drinks to guests in a timely and efficient manner
• Ensure accuracy of orders and make sure they are delivered to the correct table
• Demonstrate knowledge of menu items and make recommendations to guests
• Assist with setting up and clearing tables according to restaurant standards
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and other team members to ensure smooth service
• Handle guest concerns and complaints in a professional and prompt manner
• Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Collaborate with team members to achieve department and hotel goals
• Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
• Previous server experience in a restaurant or hotel setting preferred
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Must be able to work early mornings and weekends as scheduled
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain standards of quality
• Knowledge of food and beverage menu items and wine pairing experience
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Valid food handler's permit or ability to obtain one within 30 days of hire
• High school diploma or equivalent education required
