The Seed Company is Hiring an Oral Strategies Project Coordinator Near Arlington, TX

SCOPE: Perform functions to assist and support the Oral Strategies Group (OSG), consisting of the Oral Bible Translation team, the Oral Bible Storytelling team, and the Growth Initiatives team, in developing, implementing, and/or maintaining a variety of projects and initiatives pursuant to fulfillment of the goals and objectives under the purview of the OSG.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

•Assist the Oral Strategies Team in completing tasks related to the implementation and/or maintenance of a wide variety of oral strategies pursuant to the work of the OBT, OBS and Growth Initiatives teams.

•Effective communication with the Oral Strategies Team, consulting the teams regarding new innovations in oral strategies and refinements to various OST initiatives.

•Assist with Oral Bible Translation and Oral Bible Storytelling training as needed.

•Maintain up-to-date project data via internal data-management systems (DOMO, Cord Field)

•Maintain and manage the logistics around the Orality Landscape of Practice (LoP), including but not limited to: scheduling presenters, moderating discussion, marketing, website maintenance, etc. 

•Basic video editing

•Communicate with Field Project Managers around project data as needed.

•Manage and oversee all of the digital files created and maintained by the OST.

•Contribute to the creation and management of a digital content library pursuant to Seed Company OST materials and/or in partnership with other BT organizations.

•Logistical management of video-based training or other virtual training as needed.

•Assist in the development, distribution, and management of other oral-strategies related training materials as assigned.

•Management of conference logistics and/or other oral strategies-related meetings.

•OST-related AIP participation as applicable.

•OST team communications as needed.

•Regular participation in virtual and in-person team meetings. 

•Maintain regular contact with Oral Strategies Manager, and the other OS team leaders as needed.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

•None

OTHER DUTIES:

•Continue to be a student of orality and Bible translation principles, practices, processes, and philosophies.

•Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and task force groups as directed and maintain required level of knowledge pertaining to operating procedures, requirements, processes and policies.

•Lead and or participate in projects or task force groups which focus on issues having organization-wide impact.

•Perform or assist with any assignments as required or directed.

•Other duties as assigned relevant to the work of Seed Company and/or the Oral Strategies Team.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional or home office environment except when traveling. When traveling, conditions may be rugged (limited access to internet, mosquito nets, etc).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

•Able to carry up to 30 pounds

•Able to go places where there is limited medical assistance

•Able to go to malaria areas

•Able to function in environment with limited environmental controls (AC)

•Able to travel 4 hours in vehicles on rough terrain

TRAVEL:

Domestic and International travel is expected, up to six weeks a year. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Strong faith in Jesus Christ as Savior; God honoring lifestyle.

•Passion for the Word of God and provision of the Word for every people group.

•Championing Seed Company’s vision, mission, and values.

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

•Education and/or practical experience with digital platforms such as Mail Chimp, Zoom, MS Office Suite.

•Knowledge of or ability to learn other software solutions relevant to completing assigned projects.

•Able and willing to participate in and/or lead team discussions pursuant to OST projects and initiatives.

•Motivation and ability to quickly learn and understand oral strategies principles, practices, and philosophy.

•1 – 3 years’ Field experience in either OBS and/or OBT preferred.

•Practical experience in project management, cross-cultural preferred.

•Formal training in linguistics, translation, and/or theology preferred.

•Education and/or practical experience with adult learning.

•Able to hold a passport if needed for international travel.
