A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS TESTING TECHNICIAN.

As a member of the geotechnical engineering division, you’ll perform a variety of in-office and field tasks. Your main responsibilities are to perform soil, concrete, and masonry tests. Your ability to work with limited oversight while maintaining accuracy and producing high quality test reports makes you a great fit for this position!

ABOUT YOU!

• You'll have earned a GED or Diploma and demonstrate the ability to learn new skills.
• You have some experience for special inspections but if not, we will provide the training to obtain your special inspections certification.
• You have no problem working on construction sites and laboratory settings.
• You will need the ability to pass Federal background checks
• You have a valid driver's license and the ability to travel required to sites in Iowa and Nebraska

• You have demonstrated your ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Current eligibility and authorization to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

• Walk, stand, sit, and move over construction project surfaces in a manner that is not injurious to you or persons near you
• Climb on construction surfaces with proper safety equipment
• Frequently, safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds in a proper manner to not cause injury
