ROLE

We are currently looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to join the team as a paralegal and ensure that the firm is always running smoothly! This individual will be responsible for providing administrative assistance, legal document preparation, communicating with clients, & assisting with legal tasks as assigned by an attorney. The primary duties include performing legal research, drafting and proofreading documents and pleadings, scheduling, organizing documents for attorneys, assisting during trials & submitting legal documents as needed! Other duties include preparing and summarizing depositions, and interrogatories, answering calls, maintaining contacts, & monitoring deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Excellent customer service and experience in the legal industry
  • Knowledge of law and excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Administrative assistance skills including time management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a team while maintaining confidentiality of client information
  • Efficiency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain calendars
  • Attention to detail, computer proficiency, & professionalism with integrity
  • Track and monitor deadlines to ensure legal documents are filed promptly

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Availability to work in an office setting with organizational skills
  • Ability to organize, draft & proofread legal documents, gather case information, & assist during trials and hearings
  • Ability to successfully perform basic administrative and customer service tasks
  • Ability to store and organize legal documents/correspondence and knowledge of court rules and filing protocols
  • Software skills including intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office
  • Maintain & update client files and overall case management and ability to multitask
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Strong understanding/knowledge of personal injury

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
