Job Description

The Salvation Army Midland Division Camp Mihaska located in Bourbon, Missouri, is looking for 4 Dining / Dish Room Attendants.

We are looking for individuals age 16 or older to fill this position. This is a full-time, temporary summer position that will start on June 03, 2024 and will end July 31, 2023.

The pay is $250 per week.

Job Objective

This position performs a variety of dining room and kitchen duties as directed.

Essential Functions

• Set up and prepare the dining room prior to each meal.
• Serve meals efficiently and courteously.
• Wash tables, sweep and mop the floor after each meal as assigned
• Operate in dish room and trash removal as assigned.
• Assist in the kitchen as assigned.
• Report problems with staff and campers to the lead cook.
• Adhere to and enforce camp policies and procedures.
• Be present at all meetings and programs unless otherwise directed.
• Work all camp rec rotations as assigned.
• Maintain a courteous and professional attitude towards campers and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Comply with The Salvation Army Safe From Harm guidelines.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a manner that fosters good relationships with clients, co-workers and supervisors.
• This includes, but is not limited to, such actions as : resolution of conflicts in a professional manner; courteous treatment of staff, visitors and clients;

respect of others’ property and person; and professional and appropriate communication to and about clients, co-workers and supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good communication skills.
• Must be a team player and self-starter able to work with minimum supervision.
• Understand and support the goals and objectives of The Salvation Army Camp program.

Physical and Working Conditions

Some work will be outdoors, and it will be hot in the summer.
