Ability to organize pick-up tickets and to schedule route in a manner that saves time and gasoline consumption. Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with co-workers. Ability to present a positive and professional image of The Salvation Army. Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or G.E.D, And Prior experience driving a box truck, and any equivalent combination of training and experience providing the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.Certifications:Valid State Driver’s LicenseForklift Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe) Physical Requirements/Working ConditionsAbility to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write and communicate the English language effectively. Ability to read and follow a map and/or hand-written directions. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Ability to drive a box truck safely and in compliance with laws, policies, and regulations.Duties require frequent periods of physical mobility including but not limited to standing, walking, climbing, bending, squatting, and lifting. Physical duties may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of sitting.
