Assistant Store Manager_NE-NSC_Thrift Store Department-402Location: Greensboro Thrift Store - Greensboro, NCPosition Type: Regular Full Time About this opportunity:Supervises and participates in the day-to-day operations of the Store and ensures compliance with established policies and procedures. Oversees the recruiting, training, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and supervision of all store employees. Ensures the accountability and security of cashier funds. Maintains the neatness and attractiveness of store merchandise; ensures that displays remain well-stocked. Supervises and oversees the sales floor, warehouse, and dispatch functions. Assists customer in locating items and prices and explains store policy. Assists employees in resolving routine problems and performing special assignments.What we are looking for in you: Education and Experience:High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred and experience working in a retail store preferred ORAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilitiesPhysical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle.Work is performed in a stock-room, warehouse, or store environment where there are discomforts associated with changes in whether; there are occasional discomforts associated with noise, crowds, dust, lint, chemical odors and the like.Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull moderately heavy (25-50 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Moderate mobility; duties are usually performed by combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis.
